75KG GOAL!
My current weight fluctuates around 61kg to 63kg. This is the case for as far as I can remember. Last year, I check my BMI(Body-Mass index). It's suppose to tell you your ideal weight based on your height and age. I don't know who invented this formula or how it works, but I've been told this is what you should use to find out your ideal weight.
So, I added my height, 5.75 ft, and age,30yrs, and my ideal weight came out to be 75kg. now, I fall 10kg to 12kg short of this and it looks on me.
For all of my adult life I've been a skinny guy, and I can't tell you for sure, It's not like I've substantial proof for it, but people treat you differently, poorly, when you don't have meat on your bones. Most of the time your unseen or ignored, at rare cases bullied on the streets of Delhi if you're walking alone in a rough neighbourhood, joke at your expense comes easily, and your shoulder becomes an excellent place for people who have more calories then you to rest their arm.
now, as I said earlier, I don't have any proof for this, maybe it’s my meek personality , but I've not seen this happen to a 6ft guy with a meek personality. I personally have no qualms with being skinny, on the contrary I like it. I'm no foodie, so less time spent eating, and shitting, works fine for me. But, as we are judged and treated differently based on our appearance, I want to see what holds on the other side for me.
So , now that I've explained my motivation. I would like to present you my plan.
1kg of weight equals to 7,700 calories. Let's say I need to gain 12kgs to reach my 75kg weight goal. So, that's a total of 92,400 calories.
I need to eat this many calories on top of my current meals. Let me explain what my daily diet looks like. breakfast:Idli or rava idli or upma, or 2 eggs coffee/tea Lunch: 2 roti, 1 dal, 1 sabzi coffee/tea sometimes fruitbowl dinner: 2 roti, 1 dal, 1 sabzi, 2 spoon rice. this is 1000 to 1300 calories.
Since my weight hasn't increased that means I've achieved (better to say my body ) equilibrium, most if not all of my calories are burn to sustain me. I think hardly any fat is stored but, I'm seeing belly fat so maybe I'm wrong.
now, if I was in a fantasy world or scifi future, I would simply take this many calories, shove it down my throat, and gain weight, but unfortunately we are in a universe with a lot of rules to be followed. So, I've to do this in the long, hard, and boring way.
The food we eat has to be broken down and absorbed. This is where our digestive system comes in. We all have different stomach sizes but a human stomach can safely contain up to 1 liter. Then the food has to passed through the digestive tract. There are limits to how much and how fast the stomach can absorb food, for example, it can absorb 50-60 grams of calories in an hour.
Considering everything there's a theoretical limit of 4000 calories a day. now, I simply can't go from 1000 ish calories to 4000 calories as my stomach and mind is only used to small portion sizes. After every meal, a hormone is release that gives that fulfilling happy sensation of satisfaction. (sidenote: The Ozampic is made out of this), so I'll never be able to intake so many calories. The way to eat more is to trick the stomach into eating more calories. Unsurprisingly liquids trick the stomach into eating more calories and don't trigger that fullness hormones. Also, I'll have to up the daily, small portion size, meals from 3 to 5. To keep my digestive system running like an amazon warehouse factory or an AI datacenter.
Now, if i double my calorie intake to 2200cal a day, I've figured out how, then I should be able to reach my goal of 92,400cal in (92,400 divide by 1100 surplus claries) 84 days that's almost 3 months. (sidenote: I won't get 100% calorie absorption since fiber rich food take more energy to absorb and there's guy batteries that take some of the calories for themselves.)
now, all I've to do is figure out from which food to get those 1100 calories and how to avoid my body storing those calories as fat around my tummy.
